About Allie🌻
So....I haven't exactly lived a traditional life...
I spent most of my twenties traveling, mostly between Costa Rica and my home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Travel is still a huge part of my life.
I'll admit I was a little lost, but I don't regret a minute of it because it led me here...to my purpose: which is connecting humans in genuinely deep ways. Which I only came to discover because in those year I experienced the depths of feeling disconnected, un-tethered, and lonely.
And I know how life-changing it was when I met people in my travels who saw me, sat with me, and held space for me.
It wasn't in airports, or concerts, or loud parties.
It was over dinner and quiet conversation. It was hiking in the jungle with a backpack full of snacks and a vague idea of our direction. It was having that one annoying friend badger me into jumping off a waterfall when I was scared shitless.
Those moments never left me. And they are exactly why I do what I do and HOW I do it.
